The Braves earlier this season called up Reed for one game.  He did not make an appearance and was optioned back to Gwinnett.

Here are Michael Reed’s stats this year at the minor league level:

Atlanta Braves NewsOnly time will tell how long Michael Reed will stay with the big league club.

The Braves might consider playing Reed in LF and Ronald Acuna Jr to CF when they are facing a left handed pitcher.

Ender Inciarte is not having a good year against left handed pitchers.

Also this might be an opportunity for other teams to get a good look at Reed.

He could be used in a trade for a relief pitcher or starting pitcher before the trading deadline at the end of this month.
