Blue Jays Score 5 Runs In The 8th On 2 Braves Errors To Beat Braves 6-2!

Atlanta Braves NewsThe game tonight between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Atlanta Braves was a pitchers duel.

Braves pitcher Julio Teheran pitched a lot better game in only giving up a run in 6.2 innings.

That run came on a HR in the third inning.

The final line on Teheran was IP: 6.2 | H: 3 | R: 1 | BB: 3 | K: 5 | HR: 1.

Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman also pitched a great game in only giving up one run in 7 innings.

The Final line on Stroman was IP: 7 | H: 6 | R: 1 | BB: 2 | K: 5 | HR: 0.

The game fell apart in the top of the 8th inning.

The Blue Jays ended up scoring 5 runs on 2 errors.

One of the errors was made by Dansby Swanson and the other was made by Freddie Freeman.

Braves reliever AJ Minter only lasted .1 of an inning in the 8th.

Minter’s final pitching line was IP: .1 |H: R: 4 | ER: 3 | BB: 0 | K: 0 | HR: 0.

I thought for the most part Teheran pitched a very good game.

The Braves defense for the game had 3 errors which in not the norm for the Braves.

Minter was not quite as sharp as he has been.

About Bob Griggs

I became an Atlanta Braves Fan in the spring of 1974. I was in first grade and Hank Aaron was chasing Babe Ruth for the all-time home run king. Back in 1974 things were different than they are now. You could not just watch every game on television. Because of the event the networks would interrupt programming and show Hank Aaron batting until he broke the home run record. Since then I have always been an Atlanta Braves Fan.
