Braves Erupt For 16 Hits And 12 Runs For Win Over Marlins!

Game Highlights:

In the top of the 1st, Freddie Freeman gets the Braves on the board with an opposite-field two-run home run, his 17th long ball of the year.


In the top of the 2nd, Dansby Swanson extends the Braves’ lead to 3-0 with a solo home run to left field, his 8th long ball of the season.


In the bottom of the 2nd, Justin Bour gets the Marlins on the board with a long solo home run to right-center field, his 16th of the season.


Johan Camargo laces a single to center field, bringing home Freddie Freeman and Nick Markakis to give the Braves a 5-1 lead in the 3rd.


Ronald Acuna Jr. laces an RBI single to right field, scoring Ender Inciarte and making it 6-1 Braves in the top of the 6th inning.


Charlie Culberson lines a double into left field, driving in Ronald Acuna Jr. and extending the Braves’ lead to 7-1 in the top of the 6th.


Ender Inciarte plates Nick Markakis and Johan Camargo with a double to right-center field before getting thrown out at third in the 7th.


Charlie Culberson rips a sharp line drive to center field, scoring Ronald Acuna Jr. and making it 10-1 Braves in the top of the 8th inning.


With the bases loaded, Ronald Acuna Jr. works a walk, allowing Joan Camargo to cross home in the top of the 9th inning.


Charlie Culberson grounds out to third, bringing home Dansby Swanson to give the Braves a 12-1 lead in the top of the 9th inning.

Braves Erupt For 16 Hits And 12 Runs For Win Over Marlins!

 

Atlanta Braves NewsThe Atlanta Braves Offense showed out on Monday Night to beat the Marlins 12-1! 

 

The Braves out hit the Marlins 16-5! 

 

Charlie Culberson went 4 for 6. 

 

Ender Inciarte went 3 for 5. 

 

Sean Newcomb was a little rusty to start the game. 

 

He was able to get out of some jams by inducing  two double plays. 

 

The only run came from a solo HR from Justin Bour. 

 

Newcomb’s final line is:  IP: 6 | H: 4 | R: 1 | BB: 4 | K: 6 | HR: 1 | Pitches: 103 | Strikes: 55. 

 

Newcomb improves his record to 9-5!

 

All in all it was a great game especially for the offense!

The Braves and Marlins open a two-game series tonight, the eighth meeting between the clubs this season and the fifth in Miami. 

The Braves took three-of-four here earlier this season, May 10-May 13, before winning the final two games of a three-game set, May 18-May 20 in Atlanta. 

The Braves will return to Miami for their final trip here this season, August 23-August 26. 

The teams will also meet a week from today to start a three-game set in Atlanta,July 30-August 1.

You could not just watch every game on television. Because of the event the networks would interrupt programming and show Hank Aaron batting until he broke the home run record. Since then I have always been an Atlanta Braves Fan.
