Braves Interviews After The Ballgame:

Atlanta Braves NewsThe Atlanta Braves Bats continue to struggle as they only are able to get 5 hits for the game.

Most of their hits came with two outs.

They were 0 for 4 this afternoon with runners in scoring position.

Zack Greinke just pitched a great game and had 7 strike outs over 7.2 innings.

Sean Newcomb had a disastrous first inning.

He had 3 walks and 1 hit and believe it or not only 1 run scored on 36 pitches.

After the 1st inning Newcomb settled down and pitched a pretty good game.

Final line on Newcomb IP: 5.2 | H: 4 | R: 3 | BB: 3 | K: 2 | HR: 1.

The Braves I believe are ready for the all-star break.

Maybe with a little break their bats can come alive in the second half of the season.

With the loss this afternoon the Braves  record is 51-42!

About Bob Griggs

I became an Atlanta Braves Fan in the spring of 1974. I was in first grade and Hank Aaron was chasing Babe Ruth for the all-time home run king. Back in 1974 things were different than they are now. You could not just watch every game on television. Because of the event the networks would interrupt programming and show Hank Aaron batting until he broke the home run record. Since then I have always been an Atlanta Braves Fan.
