Brewers Hit 4 HR To Crush Braves 10-3!This afternoons game between the Atlanta Braves and the Milwaukee Brewers was a match up between Sean Newcomb and Junior Guerra.

The game was scoreless going into the bottom of the third and that is when the runs came for the Brewers.

Braves Newcomb in back to back games had problems throwing his fastball for strikes.  The runs just came in bunches.

Sean Newcomb’s pitching line for today:  3.2 IP | 5 Hits | 5 Runs | 4 BB | 3 K | 1 HR | 82 Pitches | 44 Strikes.

That was pretty much the ballgame.

The Brewers ended up hitting 4 HR for the game.  For the whole series the Braves did not hit any HR!

Braves manager Brian Snitker had to remove Ender Inciarte because he did not run out a pop up that the fielder made an error on.  If Inciarte had been running he would have advanced to second and would have scored later in the inning.  This was not an easy call by the manager but needed to be done to set the right example for the younger players on the team!

The Braves bullpen did pretty well to make up for Newcomb’s short outing until the eighth inning when Evan Phillips just had to take one for the team in giving up 4 runs and 2HR in 1.1 IP.

On this tough 10 game road trip they were able to have a 5-5 record.  They started out great in sweeping the Cardinals and winning the first game against the Yankees.

This road trip gave the Braves a good test to see what they need to work on and gives the front office an idea on how to improve the club before the trade deadline at the end of this month.

Now a much needed off day for the Braves on Monday!
