The only real scoring chance the Brewers had against Sanchez came in the first inning which he was able to get out of.

Sanchez went 6 2/3 inning.  He gave up one run on two hits.  He only allowed one walk and had a strikeout total of eight.

The only run came in the seventh inning when a ball was hit off of Sanchez’s body and then rolled out to SS Dansby Swanson that allowed the runner to score.

The Braves scored two runs in the first inning and then they scored three runs in the eighth inning.

Freddie Freeman has a good day by going 3 for 4 with a single, double, triple and a walk.  Just one HR shy of hitting for the cycle.

Braves relievers (Dan Winkler, Arodys Vizcaino and AJ Minter) came in to record 2 2/3 scoreless innings.

First Inning:

Leading off the game for the Braves is CF Ender Inciarte.  On the third pitch Inciarte hits a lazy fly ball to CF Christian Yelich.  Next batter is 2B Ozzie Albies who hits a grounder to 2B who throws to the pitcher who is covering 1B and is called out.  Braves are challenging the call.  After further review Braves Albies is called safe.  With a runner on second 1B Freddie Freeman singles to RF and Albies advances to 3B.  RF Nick Markakis with runners on first and third works a four-pitch walk.  With the bases loaded 3B Johan Camargo hits a ground ball to LF for a base hit allowing Albies and Freeman to score.  LF Charlie Culberson with runners on first and second works a walk of Brewers pitcher Aaron Wilkerson.  With the bases loaded C Tyler Flowers strikes out swinging for the second out of the inning.  SS Dansby Swanson pops up to RF Eric Thames for the final out.  Braves lead the Brewers 2-0!

RF Eric Thames leads off for the Brewers with a single up the middle.  With a runner on first CF Christian Yelich hits a come backer to Braves pitcher Anibal Sanchez who throws to first for the out.  Thames advanced to 2B on the play.  1B Jesus Aguilar gets hit by Sanchez with two strikes.  With runners on first and second 3B Travis Shaw hits a liner to RF Nick Markakis who throws quickly to 2B for a force out on Aguilar.  With two outs LF Hernan Perez is called out looking for the third out of the inning.  Braves lead the Brewers 2-0!
